The deal includes oceanview rooms, two daily two-tank daytime dives, two gourmet dinners, breakfast daily, two days' car rental, and airport or ferry dock transfers. The $1,389 price is good on stays now through Dec. 20; price jumps to $1,595 from Jan. 3 to March 31, 2008. Diving amidst the crystal blue water of Tortola and the BVI is a scuba diver's heaven. The virgin reefs are among the world's best scuba attractions. The area has had a rich nautical history since the days of Columbus and many boats have been claimed by the shallow reefs surrounding the islands, including the world famous RMS Rhone, a 300ft steamer that tragically sank in a hurricane in 1867. The BVI has many wreck dives, both old and new to explore. The islands volcanic origins have also blessed the islands with stunning underwater topography, including underwater canyons, arches, tunnels and overhangs. And weather permitting there are a number of sea mounts dotted throughout the region. BLONDE ROCK - divers descend from their boat onto a coral encrusted plateau at about 30' (10m). From there you swim over the plateau lip and descend into a maze of shadowed overhangs, narrow passages and eroded coral. This is a favourite spot for our numerous sea turtle population. With a very neat tunnel and a beautiful rainbow arch Blonde rock rates as one of the favourites. ALICE IN WONDERLAND - Perhaps the best coral dive, you will be carried away to fairytail seascapes of huge mushroom coral, narrow twisting channels and beautiful cascading drapery coral. Though as deep as 65' (22m) the best coral is in 45' (15m) so there is nice light and lots of air for a long dive. You may not see the Yellow Brick Road but you will feel like you are swimming through Oz! Located at Pelican Rock, Rainbow Canyons is indeed a rainbow of colourful fish and coral. Weaving through a maze of small canyons and huge coral heads you will marvel at nature's smorgasborg that she dishes up for your visual pleasure. At 35' to 55' (11m to 18m) this is a dive that novices and experienced divers alike will enjoy and remember.
