Why not treat yourself to lunch or dinner at the oldest 'new" restaurant in Tortola? '1748' at Long Bay is set in a converted 18th century sugar mill on the island's finest beach, it's tables on the upper and lower decks or right beneath the seagrape trees on the sands. Enjoy delicious grills, beach barbecues or fresh-from-the-reef seafood, every meal, enhanced by attentive service and the sound of the surf. The Beach Bar is open throughout the day and evening. Try an Island Fizz with breakfast, a Long Bay Cooler with lunch, or a Papaya Daiquiri with dinner. Happy hour is held every evening from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The Pelican Pool Bar serves tropical refreshments and tasty snacks to swim up customers and poolside loungers. Terrace Bar is a popular spot to unwind over cocktails, service is from 6:30 pm onwards in the bar and on the terrace. Long Bay offers a Modified American Plan "MAP." The plan includes breakfast everyday at the Beach Cafe and dinner at either the Beach Cafe or Garden Restaurant. Lunch may be substituted for dinner anytime. Price: $48/day for adults and $30/day for children 12 and under. The Meal Plan must be taken for seven consecutive days, or for the entire stay if you are staying less than seven days.
